The Malta Café Scientifique presents an evening on health, fitness and the ‘true’ Mediterranean diet. Join Prof. Suzanne Piscopo as she presents research on food, nutrition and which diet is the best on the 9th of November at 7pm, Studio B (Music Room) at the Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta.
Food has an enormous impact on health, fitness and wellbeing. The Mediterranean diet is often named as one that is especially healthy. It is protective against different diseases and can aid in weight management. Together with fellow nutrition specialist and graduate of the University of Malta Claudine Grech Spiteri, Prof. Piscopo will explain what exactly a Mediterranean diet is, the link with nutrient density and whether or not it has any effects on sport performance. The evening will include scientific insights as well as practical guidance, followed by a short discussion with the speakers.
