Science in the City presents Kids Dig Science for kids in which children from the age of seven will learn about science through theatre – or the art of puppetry, to be more specific.
Ten puppet shows will be commissioned, with each performance delving into the wonderful world of science while cutting it down to size in the most fun performances possible.
A workshop will be held after each show to give the children a hands-on experience of science by tapping into their artistic skills in order to learn something more about the world in which we live. Needless to say, but we shall do so anyway, the children will be encouraged to be as creative as possible and to explore their curiosity throughout the activity.
The workshop will be led by Angele Galea who is skilled in both a scientist and an artist. Her team will help the kids to understand the importance of creativity in both science and the arts, and to show them how important it is to question and learn about all things science.
