Feb 2015 - Dyslexia and Games: Learn better?

How can games help dyslexic students learn? Prof. Rilla Khaled presents Words Matter, a game developed as part of the EU-funded ILearnRW project, which brings together experts on game design, game technology, education and dyslexia to create a tablet-based learning game for use at school and at home.

In this way, a player’s goal is not to do homework, but to keep alive a world in which they have special skills, and maintain friendships with the many strange characters living there.

Come and listen to Rilla’s talk : Dyslexia and games: learn better? on Thursday 12th of February at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.15pm) at the Music Room, St James Cavalier, Valletta. The event will be followed by an open discussion with some nibbles from Sammy’s Culinary Forward and coffee and tea provided by Lion Brand. Thanks go to the Malta Chamber of scientists for their support and St James Cavalier for providing the space.
