Oct 2018 – Powered by ADHD

Date and Time: Saturday, 20 October 2018, 3pm – 5pm
Venue: Studio A & B, Spazju Kreattiv

It’s ADHD awareness month and we want to help children understand that different is great too.

Whoever said the heart works in mysterious ways knows not what he is saying. We know exactly how the heart works, it’s pretty straightforward really, blood in, blood out. Now, the brain is a whole new kettle of fish. Did I say fish? What I really meant is chemicals, electric impulses, strata, synapses, lobes, cortex, neurons… ok you get my drift. Mysterious is an understatement and yet a team of researchers at the University of Malta are working on unraveling the differences between a neurotypical brain and those which function with ADHD.

Now then how do we go about explaining ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to kids? That’s up to our puppets to figure out and your kids to find out, in one of our most mindboggling adventures to date.Creative TeamKaren Fiorini (coordinator), Dr Edward Duca (science communications consultant), Sean Briffa (puppeteer), Matthew Grech (experiments, games and crafts manager) and Sephora Schembri (poster design).
