ĊineXjenza will be screening the drama ‘Beautiful Boy’ on 14th March at 7pm in the Spazju Kreattiv cinema as part of the Brain Awareness Week. Join the event to approach a personal story about a father-son relationship overshadowed by the latter’s drug addiction from a scientific perspective.
After the screening of ‘Beautiful Boy’, invited experts will discuss the consequences of an addiction as well as the mechanisms and adverse side effects of drugs with the audience. Hear the insights of neuroscientist Prof. Richard Muscat who’s researches focuses on psychoactive substances and is an expert on how the brain reacts to these vices.
The Sedqa agency has years of experience in helping drug addicts. The evening will feature them sharing their experience on the social consequences of drug abuse in an informal open discussion.
