Science in the Citadel Gozo

The new Gozo Science festival Science In The Citadel released its full programme today for the April 22 event. Dr Anton Refalo, Minister for Gozo, opens the event at 9 am for 12 hours of shows, workshops, talks by eminent local scientists, debates, demonstrations, film and interactive Science Fair fun all within the atmospheric confines of the ancient Citadel. An easy to use trail guide and map is now available online at www.facebook.com/ScienceInTheCitadel.

A full range of science disciplines is covered with activities at all levels from kindergarten to postgraduate, all with the aim of engaging and exciting people about the science taking place on the Maltese Islands, whether they be local residents or just visitors for the day. 32 different organisations - including the University of Malta, Microsoft Youthspark, the Police Forensic Science Lab, Esplora and SharkLab, with many science student organisations - are laying on 50 different activities so there truly is something for everyone at the first of what is sure to become an annual attraction on Gozo.
