May 2011 - Sex and the City Malta-Style Sexuality

In any society, sexuality has always had an important place that affected interpersonal relationships between various members of the community. This required the setting up of clear boundaries of what was considered licit or illicit sexual practices. Illicit practices carried significant social and health consequences. The presentation reviewed the history of Maltese sexuality and its consequences.

The speaker, a leading Gynaecologist in Malta, is incredibly well-published in local and foreign papers, magazines and academic journals, and also spoke about the human papilloma virus, HPV, that lies stealthily hidden in men, but can lead to cervical cancer and death in women.
